The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment. His main focus is mopping and robot vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those looking to cross mopping off the to-do list. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to go for. It is smaller than other models and makes it easier to maneuver in tight spaces or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through a clean.
It's extremely quick and does a great job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one motion. Its 8,000pa suction motor is quick at picking up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.
autonomous vacuum mopping efficiency is less impressive, but not by much. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into difficult corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys or books.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't make as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install and performs well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum to mop you must pay attention to this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase an extremely efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.
The device has an impressive and powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and methodically. This will ensure an efficient and consistent cleaning and is also fast.
In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching many different surface areas. These include corners and baseboards as well as other difficult-to-access spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can extend to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be washed and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the odors.
Another feature worth mentioning is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the strength of suction, and choose between a back-andforth or more random patterns. You can also select the number of passes, which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also decide to turn off the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.
This device is expensive but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to keep in mind that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example brushrolls need to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads should be changed every one to three months.
The robot vacuum mop is a top Amazon rating and comes with an array of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has a power button which doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a 'Home button that allows it to go home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home clean without spending too much time doing chores. It has powerful performance, smart navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, that is, it can do both vacuuming and mopping. The robot has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping module with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.
Our testers discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate map of your floorplan, which it uses to draw a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.
The Matrix Plus also did a amazing job of picking up hair from pets. It was able to collect many of the hair that sheds from our cats. It even made it into the corners and crevices of our stairs, where other robots had struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low and there were nice jingles to signal that it was in the process of working towards its goal.
The app was too simple and you had to alter the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to hold multiple maps, which can be a hassle when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it has some unique features which make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock, which serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.
The base has several control buttons that allow you to manually begin a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognising objects.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert in its app.
The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxes.
