Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills, staining) in one go without having to swap out devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its low cost, and it's among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can is able to clean up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.
For instance, you can, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are excellent too as the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only issue it has is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at full speed - but an instant glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks need to be done including emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner with a 600ml of eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time and the mop is capable of operating for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. And you can see the complete cleaning details within the app, which is well laid out and is easy to comprehend, though we would have liked to be able distinguish between a vacuum only or a vacuum/mop clean when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum, is the most up-to-date version. In contrast to the model of last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad, which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might be unable to pick up.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It then can alter its direction automatically and clean them, without missing a step.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek, angular style is striking and has only three physical buttons: the power button, that also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.
The only downside I found to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to remove the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with its innovative features, top suction power and cutting-edge mopping capabilities. Its smart design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. robotic hoovers is one of the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry debris. It has a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without using pads. The X40 is also extremely quiet while in use with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also has an additional side brush that can be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture that is curved like table and chair legs. The robot is also able to reach under furniture with low profile which makes it a great option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush also automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots. This is a nice feature that assists the X40 avoid damaging floors with the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Contrary to other robots, which are limited to one task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, and reverse the process. robotic hoovers can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is easy to use and understand The X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to clean and has many convenient features, making it an ideal option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It can also detect when the mop pad is filled and notify you when it overflows, thus reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive on the market however, it comes with a lot of extra features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature on its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mop is also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is a great feature as it stops the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. It's a system that we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuums and mop models and it could be a useful way of keeping your home clean for longer.
There's a plethora of options available that include the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a variety of preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has many options for customising your cleaning routine. It also has several features that aren't available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's heavier than the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and feels robust and well built. The mopping system is also well designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
