For instance, you can opt for the robot to take care of a thorough clean-up in the kitchen and living rooms but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models cannot. The only drawback is that it is known to smash into walls and objects at full speed. The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum, is the most recent version. Unlike last year's model, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may miss.
The Roborock model, like the other two models I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls, and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they're a wall or another surface. It then can automatically alter its direction and clean them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which resumes the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child lock, and a home-button to send the robot to its dock. The only drawback I could find with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot passes will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these smart features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, track the life of batteries and maintenance on components. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops to enable voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
